I bought two of these and was able to install them myself into my sons cars. Now when they say they are going to a friend's house and forget to call or come home on time, I send a quick text message to the item and boom - I know where they are....It's great parental peace of mind. Also, where I have them installed, it's easy to pull them out and use elsewhere if I need too. The monthly fee is reasonable and the price of the unit is about half of what it was initially. Highly affordable for this peace of mind.
