The Korea scientists develop the new way to charge the mobile phone. It’s to shout loundly. It’s a new technology to convert the voice to the electric energy. The researcher and professor Sang-woo Kim said though the technology is still in the initial stage that it can only convert the voice to 500mV power, he believes that it has wide application prospect.
The new technology can make the mobile phone to gain the power through the call. And even in the standby time, the phone can be charged through the background noise and music. It’s exciting to those people who are crazy about the phone calls. You don’t need to worry about the power of the smartphone if you go to the concert or bar.
Just like the speaker can convert the electricity signal to the sound, the voice can also be converted to the electric energy. He said, “Actually, the words, music and even noise can be converted to the power.”
The principle is not complicated. Clip the zinc oxide wire between the two poles and put a noise-absorbing lining. When the sound wave comes, the lining will vibrate to stretch or push the wire. The current will be generated to charge the battery.
As to the present electricit generation condition, the technology can be used on any electronic gadgets with low power-consuming like the heart pacemaker.
The American Princeton University scientist Michael McAlpine commented, “The research is interesting. But the problem is whether there is enough noise to provide the power for the mobile phone.” The consumers can’t charge the phone by attending a rock concert or stand beside the train.
For this, it’s agreeable to the Korea scientists. They said the 50mV current is not strong. But the research has tested the sound can provide the power.”We are trying to change the cable material to generate more power with the low voice.”
