The Smartphone and Tablets Move to the Car Electronics

Since Ford Motor integrates some popular smartphone applications in the car, the other car accessories providers integrate the mobile devices like android tablet and applications in the car environment. The car manufacturers are introducing more complex solution to the car information and entertainment platform.

Ford Motor has successfully realized the mobile application integration on SYNC platform. SYNApplink is the first kind of software application in the field. It enables the uer to control the smart application through the hand-free mode.

Ford declared that iPhone, BlackBerry and Android phone are compatible with AppLink. The Pandora, Stitcher and Open Beak are the mobile applications supported by SYNC.

MINIUSA also cooperates with Pandora. It develops the first third party application for MINIConnected information recreation system. The 2011 MINI car equiped with MINIConnected will be able to transmitt Pandora.

The tablets flood the mobile computing market. The tendency is shown on the CES. About 35 companies presented the tablets. Most of them are based on Android system. Tablets and smartphone provide the similar functions. It tends to syncretize with each othe on the application, service and size. Like the smartphone, tablets also enter into the car environment.

With the smartphone, we can introduce the car mobile application to the car stereo through the third party application. The recently published embedded solutions like BlueLink, FocusElectric and Leaf monitoredtelematics can directly introduce the connection service to the stereo. It’s just like the internal applications. The car manufacturer is also producing the single smart mobile application for the remote control.
