The Winamp for Android has just announced a new version. It has the synchronized music file function on the mobile phone and computer through the Wifi. And there is the Shoutcast broadcasting function. Ten years ago, the winamp made the mp3 popular among the computer users. Winamp was almost a byword of the mp3 player. And the developler Justin Frankel became adorable.
At present, there are 60 million users in the world. But it only covers 5% in American. It’s estimated that most of them are iTune users. On the contrary, there are a number of overseas fans. According to the report of the AOL which purchased the Winamp, the user of the Winamp computer desktop version spends eighty minutes listening to the music.

Now the mobile version has been announced and the wireless synchronization function is available. AOL believes that the Winamp will spread to the mobile phone. In view of the iTunes on iPhone, AOL expects to occupy the Android. And there are considerable users of the Shoutcast. It’s very suitable to listen to the radio on the mobile phone.

Of course the Winamp is not the only Android multimedia manager. The early launched DoubleTwist is very good. It’s intersting that DoubleTwist launches a new versio after the Winamp update.
