At the beginning of this year, it’s said that Nokia N900 would gain the Maemo and MeeGo dual-boot. But it’s a long term developing plan at that time. Finally, MeeGo official blog announces the coming of the official dual-boot of the N900.
MeeGo developing group sets up a special N900 transplant team which mainly conduct the transplant work from MeeGo to N900 mobile phone. Now they have completed the adpation of 3G audio call, pulsetone stack and open source Modem.
About the Maemo, the latest PR1.3 version update is very close. It has gained the dual system support. The user can choose to launch the N900 between Maemo and MeeGo easily.

In addition, the cross-platform developing tool for developlers is alo possible to be published. The tool is designed based on the Maemo Qt and Qt Mbility Apls. As the devleoper completes the application development on PC with Qt Creator, the test can be done directly on the two systems of N900.
MeeGo developing team is in the final developing process of the 1.1 version. Now the main task is to modify the mistakes to ensure the normal operation. The version is mainly to offer a stable developing basis for the developers, especially the mobile application developers.
The developing of MeeGo 1.2 also gets started. About the N900, the developing group will integrate some latest Nokia resources including SGX drive and speed visual code-breaking and launch the usable MeeGo1.2 system soon.
