Timely cleaning. Each time when you finish your long journey, you should remember to clean and wipe your digital camcorder including the DV body, lens and the LCD screen. Thus, there will be less possibility for the damage on the lens’ surface and breaking-down of the outer key-press.
Suitable cleaning tools. First, you can drive away the dust attached on the surface by the air spray ball. But try not to use the high pressure jetting canister in order to avoid the dust to be blown in. About the body and lens, you can use the cloth to wipe softly in circle. Some lens drops are helpful to the dull stains.
Suitable storage. You’d better put it in the dry box after your cleaning. And never put it in the video camera bag at random, because there are large amount of foam and cloth material which can easily absorb moisture. If the digital camcorder can be put in the bag too long time, it will be affected with damp and be mouldy easily.
