The successors of the Siemens Gigaset 1000 Models (see Retro Special 2: The 1000 Models) was the Siemens Gigaset 2000 series. Those Siemens Gigaset models were launched in 1997, offering improvements in convenience and design. The portfolio included the Siemens Gigaset 2015 with an answering machine and a ?pocket line??handsets that were designed to fit into any pocket. These models were also the first to have a base station suitable for mounting on the wall.
